Customs and Border Protection, on June 24, 2021, issued a new withhold release order (WRO) forbidding the importation of silica-based products made by Hoshine Silicon Industry Co Ltd (Hoshine), a company located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, based on allegations of forced labor.  

Customs issued CSMS 48380692 to notify the trade community of a change to the bonding policy associated with a drawback accelerated payment (AP).

CBP, on May 28, 2021, issued a Withhold Release Order (WRO) against Chinese fishing fleet Dalian Ocean Fishing Co., Ltd (Dalian) on the basis of forced labor in the entity’s operations.

The proposed new rates are subject to further review over the coming six months before final rates are determined.

Per CSMS #47830638, complete golf clubs are made of prefabricated components consisting of a head, shaft and grip, often with those components having different countries of origin, some of which are subject to Section 301 duties if the country of origin is China.

Implementation will occur 60 days after a final rule is published in the Federal Register.
