The United States has announced new Section 232 trade measures covering polysilicon and certain solar supply chain products, including polysilicon, ingots, wafers, solar cells, and solar modules. Effective December 4, 2026, the program introduces Minimum Import Price (MIP) requirements, additional Section 232 duties, enhanced importer documentation obligations, and incentives to support domestic manufacturing. Importers should review product classifications, pricing structures, sourcing strategies, and compliance procedures to assess potential exposure and prepare for implementation of the new requirements.
