Truck traffic being diverted from the Port of Hidalgo/Pharr

Truckers Protest at Port of Hidalgo/Pharr

CBP has advised that the Hidalgo/Pharr port of entry is operational again as of 4/13/22.

Due to a protest by Mexican and US truckers at the port of Hidalgo/Pharr, it is not possible for Customs to process cargo at that port.  The protesting carriers want to have discussions with the representatives of the Texas Dept of Public Safety and Governor Abbott.

Customs’ Business Resumption Contingency Plan is now in place.  As a result, the ports of Brownsville, Progresso, Rio Grande, Roma, Laredo, Eagle Pass, and Del Rio as receiving and processing the diverted cargo.

As well, the Port of Laredo’s Colombia Solidarity Bridge continues to have increased TDPS inspections outside the commercial cargo facility which will impact the flow of traffic.
