Cyclonic Storm Michaung - Update

As cyclonic storm Michaung continues to take pace delivering extremely heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu, the government has declared the Tuesday 5th December will also be a public holiday. Essential services are running at a miminum.

Cyclonic Storm in Tamil Nadu - Client Advisory

A public holiday has been declared on Monday 4th December, 2023 for the Districts of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepurum and Chengalpattu in Tamil Nadu, India. 

In a note from the Indian Meteorological department, the cyclonic storm "Michaung" is likely to bring heavy rainfall and strong winds throughout the area.

In light of this, the public holiday has been declared by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Essential services will be running at a minimum. 

Any shipments to and from Chennai and surrounding area will be impacted over the forthcoming days. In the latest update from Chennai airport, the airfield will closed until 11pm IST.
