At Crane Worldwide Logistics, we are committed to embedding sustainability into everything we do. As a trusted logistics partner with a global footprint, we’re focused on reducing our environmental impact while helping clients move goods more sustainably. Our newly released 2023 Sustainability Report outlines Crane’s commitment to Sustainability and the goals we have set for ourselves.
We aim to be a positive force in global trade, delivering excellence for our clients, empowering our employees, and supporting the communities we call home. With 3,500+ employees across 33 countries and 150+ locations, our reach is global—but our mindset is personal and purpose-driven.
Crane Worldwide ensures that we operate in an ethical, socially responsible, and environmentally conscious manner with a commitment to the following objectives:
Compliance with Environmental Standards
Environmental Communication
Responsiveness to Environmental Concerns
Continuous Improvement
Employee Training and Awareness
Waste Minimization
Emissions Reduction
To promote transparency and accuracy, Crane hired an independent third-party environmental consulting firm to perform an internal review of the company's carbon emissions for 2023 and establish a baseline. Based on the findings, Crane sets measurable objectives:
50% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030
50% solid waste diversion by 2035
Net-zero emissions from operations by 2040
To achieve these objectives, we’re assessing different initiatives, from reducing energy consumption at warehouses through the implementation of energy efficiency measures to the use of renewable energy technologies to power some of our facilities. We’re also looking at how AI can help optimize transportation modes and routes to reduce carbon emissions from the shipping of goods, as well as partnering with our clients to drive sustainability improvements in their supply chains.
Crane is offering its customers the option to offset their carbon emissions from air freight through the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and will continue to provide easy ways to purchase emission reduction solutions on our platform. We’ll subsidize and financially contribute to companies that choose to purchase renewable energy credits through Crane in support of reducing their Scope 3 emissions.
As we innovate and invest in clean logistics solutions, we continually identify new opportunities for energy efficiency and emissions reductions. Together, we can move the world forward—responsibly.
