Ecuador Political Unrest

Political Unrest in Ecuador

Due to the political unrest in the South American country of Ecuador, the nation is under the watchful eye of the Government. Crane is in close contact with various Authorities to monitor our operation.

What is the situation in Ecuador?

Earlier this week, several Ecuadorian localities experienced violent riots causing their government to declare a State of Emergency for 60 days with a mandatory curfew in place.  Currently all entities of the public and private sectors have been advised to telework from home. However, those in International Trade operations, including importing, exporting, and inspections, continue to function as normal until further notice.

What does it mean for your operations?

  • Crane Worldwide continues to deliver cargo to/from Ecuador.
  • Be aware of the risks and potential shipment delays.

Crane Worldwide will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as soon as available.
