U.S. Department of Commerce’s Request for List of Critical Goods and Materials

On October 5, 2022, The U.S. Department of Commerce requests input from the public regarding the draft list of critical goods and materials per Executive Order 14017, which was issued on February 24, 2021 and outlines U.S. policy objectives on strengthening the resilience of America’s supply chain.

Through this Request for Comment (RFC), input will be requested from public health and biological preparedness, information and communications technology (ICT), energy, and critical minerals.

This RFC is a part of the government’s ongoing work to identify risks, address vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to strengthen the supply chain.
