HOUSTON, TX, November 30th, 2018: Crane Worldwide Logistics, a leading supply chain solutions company, is pleased to announce their strategic partnership with Westfaelische Drahtindustrie GmbH (WDI), a 150 year old company specializing in wire fabrication, which includes wire, bright steel, construction steel, prestressing wire, welding technology, high performance wire ropes, overhead powerline ropes and fencing. 

In partnership with Crane Worldwide Logistics, WDI will be able to seamlessly ship to Shanghai, China from their manufacturing facility in Germany, shipping faster and with ease to this key market. Due to the urgency to ship the product to China, Crane Worldwide Logistics offered great service and excellent quality control from their warehouse to ocean freight.

Westfaelische Drahtindustrie GmbH can trace their company origins to a works for wire fabrication founded in the year 1856, which was operated as an incorporated firm (AG) as early as in the year 1872 and from 1890 under the present name WDI. Today Westfaelische Drahtindustrie GmbH, with company headquarters in Hamm, is the largest group-free wire producer in Europe and is privately owned by the family Pampus. WDI produces different kinds of wire at 16 plants all over Germany. WDI also produce prestressing wire in The Netherlands (company Nedri Spannstaal BV) and ropes in Canada (company Unirope).
