Branch Manager of Crane Worldwide Mendoza, Ricardo Hoyos took part in our Café con Crane podcast series to offer us a brief summary as to how various industries and organizations are taking advantage of Mendoza, Argentina’s strategic location to grow their business models.
Ricardo’s experience in international trade began at a well-known customs brokerage in Argentina. Then in 2013, he was recruited by Managing Director of the South Cone, Cesar Speratti, to be part of the Crane Worldwide Mendoza office’s opening team. There he started off as a customs classification specialist but after showcasing his knowledge and hard work he quickly transitioned into the role of branch manager at the end of 2014.

Mendoza is regionally and globally known for its wine exports. As far as their imports Mendoza generally imports more elaborate products. For example, the wine industry tends to import European machinery for their wineries. Mendoza, being linked to Argentina’s principal ports through rail lines and highways, serves as a gateway to Chile. Currently at Crane Mendoza we are working with a few Chilean agents that have given us the support to be able to provide our clients with the differential service they look for.
