UPDATE: 28th February, 2022
Up to 1250mm of rain has been recorded in parts of Brisbane over the last 4 days leading to widespread localised flooding - especially in low-lying areas and those near rivers, creeks and swamps (such as those surrounding Brisbane Airport). Tens of thousands of houses were inundated and/or lost power and tragically some lives have been lost.
Some Airfreight and Seafreight depots, and transport companies were unable to release or accept cargo today and many staff worked from home or were unable to work.
In some areas the flood waters have started to subside although other areas are yet to reach their expected peak. It is expected that the air and sea depots and transport companies will be operational tomorrow, however much will depend on how quickly the waters come down and the roads can be cleared.
Many regional towns are also under water and roads are cut so deliveries from/to many town will likely be delayed.
Please be patient with any delays, and wish our people, partners and clients to stay safe over the coming days.
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep our and clients informed of any developments and shipments impacted.
