Johor Bahru is located next to Singapore, across the Malaysian border, allowing for easy access to Singapore's world-class port location and international trade networks. It is a strategic logistics operations hub for several reasons:
- Infrastructure: Johor Bahru has well-developed infrastructure including two ports, international airport, and extensive road and rail networks. This makes it an ideal location for distributing goods within Malaysia and to other parts of Southeast Asia.
- Industrial hubs: Johor Bahru is home to several industrial zones and manufacturing facilities, attracting companies from a variety of different industries.
- Cost-effective: Operating in Johor Bahru can be more cost-effective compared to other major cities due to its strategic location
- Skilled workforce: Johor Bahru has a pool of skilled labor, including professionals in logistics and supply chain management.
The new logistics office in Johor Bahru, Malaysia is an addition to the Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Labuan offices already operated by Crane Worldwide Logistics Malaysia.
The Malaysian offices are supported by a global network of locations providing air freight, ocean freight, customs services and a full suite of supply chain operations and logistics services.
With ongoing discussions around the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), an initiative between Singapore and Malaysia for business collaboration, this additional Crane Worldwide location will serve as an advantage to maximize the opportunity of cross-border economic connectivity and international development.
