UPDATE: South Africa Port Disruption - Industrial Action
It has been reported by Enca here that an agreement has been reached between Transnet and the union UNTU after 12 days of strike action. Workers are said to be returning to work a the ports on Tuesday of this week.

It has been reported by Encaherethat an agreement has been reached between Transnet and the union UNTU after 12 days of strike action. Workers are said to be returning to work a the ports on Tuesday of this week.
Durban container port terminals have suffered disruption due to ongoing industrial action which started on October 6th. Trade unions Satawu and UNTU are in ongoing negotiations with Transnet Port Terminals.
As has been seen in the ports ofFelixstowe, Liverpooland throughoutGermany, inflation has been a cause for concern amongst members of the unions who have requested pay increases due to the current state of the economies.
The strike action has also impacted Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Some vessels are currently at anchor awaiting discharge until operations resume. On Monday, it was reported that 28 vessels are waiting to dock.
