APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) is expanding your options for fruits and vegetables import permit request in APHIS eFile.
Effective February 1, 2021, you can:
- Apply for more fruit and vegetable commodities by selecting different process types such as fresh, dried and frozen, among others.
- Renew, amend, and cancel your permits that have been issued in APHIS eFile.
Please check out https://efile.aphis.usda.gov/s/ today.
Please use APHIS eFile for all your fruit and vegetable import requests. PPQ will no longer issue fruit and vegetable Q.56 permits from ePermits. For a period of time, you will need to use ePermits to apply for PPQ Form 587 permits (seeds not for planting). All PPQ form 587 permit requests will eventually be available in APHIS eFile.
