What does a Chief Compliance Officer do?

The role is about mitigating risk for the organization through four pillars: protecting the organization, protecting people, protecting clients, and auditing. Policies and procedures direct how business is conducted. Training plays a vital role for internal teams and agents. Safeguards built into applications block non-compliant processes, and auditing ensures transparency and accuracy. The biggest issue at the time of recording was Russia's invasion of Ukraine and its impact on the global compliance landscape.

What makes a good Compliance Officer?

Success depends on knowing how to identify, prevent, and detect non-compliance, staying ahead of ever-changing regulations, and building a program the organization respects and adheres to. It is not just one person—it is the company and team as a whole. The best part of working for Crane Worldwide Logistics is that the organization cares and aims to do it right the first time.
