To ensure ongoing air cargo security in the United States, on both passenger and all-cargo aircraft, Crane Worldwide Logistics takes its role as a certified Indirect Air Carrier seriously by working closely with the Transportation Security Administration to allow for the safe, secure, and reliable service of our customers' freight.
Supply chain security
Today's global supply chain is a risky place with evolving security threats and the regulatory programs that address only some of those concerns. A primary concern of Crane Worldwide Logistics is supply chain security. Crane Worldwide Logistics leverages its close relationship with both government authorities and private industry groups around the world to help meet the highest level of security for each facility, each warehouse, and each shipment, as evidenced by the licenses and certifications that we have attained (as applicable) from the following organizations:
- Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)
- Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)
- World Customs Organization (WCO)
- Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA)

C-TPAT and AEO programs
The supply chain forever changed in the aftermath of the events of 9/11. In part, and in addition to increased measures to address air cargo security, trade security programs were also developed to address security in multi-mode commerce. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) was the first to develop a program named the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT). This was followed by the World Customs Organization's (WCO) development of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) scheme, based on the SAFE Framework of Standards, subsequently adopted, in whole or in part, by many Customs Authorities around the world.
These trade security programs, commonly named AEO, function similarly and can have differing names such as Partners-In-Protection (PIP)/Canada, Golden List/Jordan, or Secure Trade Partnership (STP)/Singapore.
Crane Worldwide Logistics holds several AEO certifications and is also C-TPAT certified as an Air Freight Consolidator, Ocean Intermediary / NVOCC, and as a licensed Customs House Broker. Through these measures, Crane Worldwide Logistics ensures the integrity of internal security practices and communicates vital security information to business partners.
