Green Worldwide
Crane Worldwide believes it is important to be a responsible corporate citizen and positively impact global sustainability — leaving the world a better place for future generations and giving back to the communities in which we operate globally. Thus, a committee (know as Green Worldwide) has been established to help drive the Crane Worldwide Sustainability Initiatives.
We are committed to sustainability and will continually and proactively seek ways to improve our operations and measure our successes. Below are some actions that Green Worldwide is taking to push forward our sustainability program:
-Recycling of our paper, cardboard, metal, wood, glass, and printer cartridges as well as working with certified firms who ensure responsible handling of these materials and quantifying the impact of these measures on a quarterly basis
-Ensuring that the products that are utilized inside and outside of our facilities are environmentally friendly
-Continually working on ways to reduce our carbon footprint globally
-Looking for real estate buildings that are LEED certified. Currently, the Crane Worldwide Corporate Headquarters/IAH facility is a LEED certified building
-Being a SmartWaySM transport partner, dedicated to identifying products and services that reduce transportation related emissions
-Focusing on reduction of paper processes in all aspects of the business and utilizing shredded paper for air freight packing
As part of Green Worldwide’s commitment to exemplary Corporate Citizenship we also are taking the following actions:
-Providing employees with paid time off to support personal volunteerism as well as company sponsored initiatives
-Creating partnerships with Junior Achievement and other global causes and organizations committed to sustainability
